This policy explains what information shopology.co.uk collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Shopology is the data controller for this site.
What we collect
- The contact form. Your name, email address and whatever you write in your message. We use it only to reply to you.
- Spam protection. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser and device to tell people from bots. Cloudflare processes that data under its own privacy policy.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how people find the site. It sets cookies and collects details such as your device, browser and approximate location. We do not use it to identify you.
- Affiliate links. If you click a link on our Apps page, the app’s website may set its own cookie to record that you came from us. That cookie belongs to the app, not to Shopology.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages stay in our inbox for as long as they’re needed to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than two years unless you become a client. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data or pass it to anyone for marketing. The only third parties involved are the services named above and our website host.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. To do any of these, contact us. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
